Tempur-PedicOriginally developed by NASA’s Ames Research Center in the early 70s. The Tempur material has been conceived to relieve the pressure astronauts had to bear when launching towards space. The Swedish company Fagerdala World Foams has devoted 10 years and millions of dollars perfecting the ideal formula. This formula has then been used in the manufacturing of mattresses for hospitals having to deal with pressure sores. Tempur is also the only material of its type to be officially recognized by NASA and to have been celebrated at the Space Technology Hall of Fame.

The Tempur cotton velvet covers are treated with natural agents to help it resist the detricol acarides and other domestic allergens. The cotton velvet cover gas four zip fasteners, which let you withdraw it easily when you need to wash it.

The Swedish Tempur mattress never needs to be turned or changed sides. However, a semi-rigid base must be placed under the mattress.
